Geraldo Jacob
Geraldo Jacob was born in Brazil and has lived in the USA since 2017. He is a seasoned artist as well as a technology investor. Jacob has written some children’s books, such as “Zé Doidinho’s Stories” and “Zé Doidinho and the Olive Tree,” published in 2014 and 2015. Art has always been a companion, expressed through drawings, paintings, and music.
Seduced by colors and their emotional impact, the artist seeks fluidity and energy in his work, aiming to convey joy. The layers in his art hold secrets, allowing individual interpretation. A flow of energy through colors is what Geraldo Jacob pursues in his pieces. "I aim to let colors confess their identity guided by my passion, nothing more!"
Geraldo Jacob’s experiences with graffiti and digital platforms have helped him understand his work and brought various versions of himself to the canvases. Although he studied painting many years ago, he considers himself vastly self-taught.
Jacob is inspired by artists like Juan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Kandinsky, Gerhard Richter, and Brazilian artists like Cosme Martins, Luiz Aquila, Carlos Vergara, among others.
In 2020, the year the world stopped and everything changed, he decided to share his art beyond family and friends, participating in exhibitions with Red Dot during Art Basel Miami in 2021 and 2023. His joy lies in seeing his art on walls, bringing happiness to those who view it.
