Maysa Pettes, graduated in Arts in 1979 from the University of Ribeirão Preto. During her 30 years of involvement with Art World, Maysa has always explored and developed her poetic and artistic skills through various experiences in Europe and North America and by participating in many courses. During 3 years, Maysa lived away from the fast-paced society by leaving in Rifaina, a small village between São Paulo and Minas Gerais state.

 

This time away has given her the best memories of her live and is today reflected in her joy in the simple things such as the contact of her own feet to the ground or a breakfast in her garden. The time in Rifaina has also allowed her to develop the capacity to enjoy life by herself. In constant adaptation and improvement, Maysa’s art work was seldom presented before 2008, when she has decided to make a living from her art. Today, she breaths and nourishes herself from her art, and feels as if she has reached full personal maturity
