Elisa Wuo
I investigate the potential of painting through various pictorial procedures – in the construction of stains, graphics, roughness, colors, and collages – creating thought-provoking images. The erasure of evidence from these procedures invites the viewer to go through and explore these different events of construction and deconstruction of the image. I seek to represent this poetic attitude that is born from the act of painting, where the viewer is involved in the work and emotionally conencted to the actions that produce the scenes. At that moment, sensations turn into reflective thoughts.
